What Will You Do?

Volunteers at our Clothing Closet will assist with organizing, sorting, and hanging donated clothes, ensuring that our clients have access to essential items with dignity and care. Your support helps us provide a welcoming and organized space where individuals can find the clothing they need to thrive.

Volunteer Requirements: 

Volunteers must be 8 or older. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Maximum of 10 volunteers per shift. 

  Where To Sign In: 

Volunteers should ring the bell at the front entrance to report for their shift.

   

What Will You Do?

Volunteers at our Donation Center directly impact our community's needs. As a distribution hub for our Family Stores, you'll play a crucial role in sorting, organizing, and testing donated items, ensuring they are ready for distribution to our stores. Your efforts help streamline the donation process and provide essential support to our mission. This opportunity is ideal for large groups looking to make a collective difference in the lives of those we serve.

We welcome community partners, colleges, agencies, and organizations who are interested in hosting an event, workshop, presentation, or service activity at the Center of Hope.

After creating an account and signing up through our volunteer portal, you will receive an automated email with a link to a Google Form under additional information.

This form must be completed for your request to be considered.

The form is reviewed by our Social Services Director, who will follow up directly regarding next steps.

What Will You Do?

Volunteers play a crucial role at the Center of Hope Soup Kitchen, assisting in setting up and preparing meals for both shelter clients and our community soup kitchen. During dinner service, volunteers warmly greet clients, distribute meals, and assist with cleaning up afterward. 

Volunteer Requirements:  Volunteers must be 13 or older. An adult must accompany volunteers under 18. If you have a group larger than 5 people who would like to serve, please contact Nanette Hayes at nanette.hayes@uss.salvationarmy.org. 
Where To Sign In:  Volunteers should ring the bell at the front entrance to sign in for their shift, Monday through Friday. If you arrive after 4:15 pm, please ring the bell at the side entrance. On Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays, please ring the bell at the side entrance instead of the front entrance.

What Will You Do?

Your assistance in organizing and sorting through food ensures that our pantry remains well-stocked and that all items are safe for use. Join us in providing essential nourishment to those in need, creating a supportive environment where everyone can access food with dignity and respect.

What Will You Do?

Join us as a Welcome Desk Greeter at the Kroc Center, where you can be the friendly face that brightens someone's day. Volunteers in this role warmly welcome members and guests, providing assistance and information as needed. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to send birthday messages, support member retention efforts, make wellness orientation calls, and provide updates to enhance the member experience. Your presence helps create a welcoming and inclusive environment, ensuring that everyone feels valued and supported in our community center.

Maximum of 1 volunteer per shift.
