Center of Hope Shelter & Soup Kitchen

Welcome to The Salvation Army Center of Hope, the Augusta Area's sole emergency overnight shelter allowing families to stay together. In addition to providing shelter, we also provide comprehensive case management services to guide individuals toward stable housing. Our Community Soup Kitchen opens its doors seven days a week, serving a free dinner every evening at 5:30 pm to anyone in the community. At The Salvation Army Center of Hope, we offer compassionate care, nourishment, and support to those in need, empowering individuals and families to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.  

At The Salvation Army Center of Hope, we offer diverse and impactful volunteer opportunities aimed at supporting our mission to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Volunteers are integral to our operations, whether it's assisting in our Community Soup Kitchen by preparing and serving meals, organizing pantry supplies, assembling hygiene kits for clients and the community, sorting donations for our Clothing Closet, or aiding in shelter maintenance tasks like organizing and cleaning rooms. No matter your skills or availability, there's a meaningful role waiting for you here.
