What Will You Do?
As a Bell Ringer, you’ll be the friendly face of The Salvation Army this holiday season! You will ring a bell beside one of our iconic Red Kettles—spreading cheer and encouraging donations that directly support local programs.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Shifts can last up to 4–5 hours long so please dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes.
- Volunteers must register at least one week in advance of their desired shift.
Group Opportunities:
Each available slot represents one Red Kettle, not the number of volunteers.
- The group leader should register for the slot using their account.
- At check-in, they can log hours for additional members as “Plus Ones” in the app
Corporate Groups:
- Corporate volunteer groups are welcome to sign up online for afternoon shifts during the work week
- If your group would like to ring earlier in the day or for an extended time (e.g., 10 AM–4 PM), please contact Nanette Hayes to schedule.
- Businesses interested in hosting a kettle at their own location should also contact Nanette for details

Where To Go:
A Red Kettle with all necessary materials will be set up when your shift begins.
- If another Bell Ringer is there, please let them know you’re there to take over.
- If you are at a location with multiple doors (i.e, Walmart or Kroger), contact the site supervisor to find out which door you are assigned to.
